Open Night

by @daniel-de-la-rosa

Darkness surrounds. Not a flicker of light reveals itself. Secluded in what seems to be abyssal, I find myself caged. The Sensation of Iron glides across my fingertips. The Scent of the unknown leaves my mind confused. Echoes of my thoughts never end. A bitter taste lingers... Poison? Sight seizes to exist before me. What is to come if I shall be set free? Perhaps my body will once again wonder.. A figure in cloak looks down upon me. Bright Ruby's shine like two dancing suns. Within them; my mirror. Carefree and happy. What sign is this hooded figure showing me? As he reaches for me, am I to shake his hand? NO! My refusal ends well.. In silence he disappears like the whispering wind. Once again I find myself caged. In my final breath I stare into the Open Night Sky. Alone; but not forgotten.
