May 2012
The clock tick tocks
As second fly by
Like ships form the docks
As they are untied
And dashed against jagged rocks
They sink and die
As present turns to past
In the blink of an eye
So cherish each moment
Each “Hi” and “Goodbye”
And paste on that old smile
Wear it proudly and wide
Because one day too
Your life will subside
And all that’s left
Will be the memories
Of the time that we bide.
