Waiting for Abby

History confined in-between walls
denied access from authoritative protocol
on stone steps I sit as traffic passes

I walk through a park there the trees clutter
sun breaks through branches
as the wind commands a flutter

"free to the people" thus I saunter
where knowledge is uncovered
and writers live on in eternity
I find my treasure
