Easily broken, slowly repaired.
Hearts and promises are like glass.
Sometimes they shatter too fast.
He promised to love me.
Told me he cared.
But one day I turned around but he wasn’t there.
He left his ring on the table.
And my heart is in pieces.
My eyes are unfocused.
Tears blurring my sight.
I wonder if I did something wrong,
But was it right?
I learned something that day.
The day he left me.
The words that no one has dare spoken.
That hearts and promises are like glass...so easily broken.

Credit to Dustyn Smith for coming up with “hearts and promises are like glass... easily broken.”
