Wrapped among the moon's glow
I came to visit the grave of Poe
The night was still and smelled of old
But nothing like the stories told

I knelt to the grass in form of respect
Unaware of what to come or who to expect
Just then alas in surprised content
A figure stood standing, my eyes did invent

In his hand a bottle, the other a rose
And a bird on his shoulder, a raven of prose
His eyes, his eyes, my body did froze
As I stood face to face with a man called Poe

                     And he said

Welcome to the Raven's lair
Cast your eyes in it's haunted stare
Release your mind and thoughts to bare
Welcome back to the Raven's lair

Quoth he said " Nevermore."
Edgar Allan Poe has unlocked the door
Come let's drink and then explore
We'll sink in wisdom and mystery lore

Step on through this house of dream
See what words are made to be
Live a life you've never seen
Just relax and have a drink

Sip a wine you call desire
Toast to tears and shadows drowned in fire
Feel the house rise higher and higher
Or is it you being pulled down into the mire

Come with me now, oh morally one
See and taste what I have done
Hear The Bells sing as they strike the sun
Hear them ring softly as they wither to none

In sorrow this tale, remember it's plight
For you are the feather, the one who must write
I'll leave you now with the coming of light
Remember, remember, remember this night

                Quoth he said "Nevermore."
