As the sun shines in the strike of light
hallucinations covered the drastic seconds of life
dark, melancholy, twisted heads, now on high
innocent folks shouting in terror, as they walk in line

With trembling hands, as he scans the news online
criticizing like everyone knows what is occurring inside
he prays for protection and just leaves it behind
has faith that goodness will spread around in time

Heart beats strangely as he steps his feet on the ground
questioning, if amity is on the other edge of town
unharmed faces still hope for peace and love,
that is what the spirit of hope is talking about.
This is dedicated for the Filipinos especially those who are experiencing the Martial Law.
