Dearest Daniel

This dazed damsel
delights in your deluge
deciphering your disposition
descending into your depths
dancing with your demons

Do you doubt my devotion
when I'm desolate when you disappear
and driven to despondence
disconsolate from our distance

You destroy my defenses
and disarm me with desire
Desecrate me, dear Dionysus
Deem me your dominion

Though you dive into debilitating darkness
Do not be disheartened, darling
This despair will be dispelled
for the deities with a duty you were destined
