I came here today
I dragged myself around town
I came here to say I'm tired
of looking past
everything I see.

Vacant I hurried
from place to place.
hurricane life is the faddish malady
of those without time.
Time is life.
I grew to the concepts that I woreβ€”
the abstractions I swore to.
principles were born too,
from soft fear's lightβ€”
allegiance shielded me,
out and in
from life's flame
fighting, we try
we try.

Is time a concept too?
