'On days like these'
In midwinter's chill and snow
I've a warm safe place that I can go
When ice and wind try to do me in
I can say your name and you'll let me in.
To
A room that's full of orange glow
A room that only we can know
But it's made for us and filled with love
And no one gets in
Cos no one else should
You're there inside
Hand outstretched
And you cling so tight
I forget the rest
So I close my eyes
On days like these
When I'm cold to the soul
Alone on my knees
And your back in my arms
safe from harm
And our love lives forever
On days like these.
