Poems
May 2017
our sky
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
do you see it nearing the night
with its purplish orange hues
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
I think last night we both drank
too many Mules
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
its telling my heart to start
a ruse
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
its love, not us, who will always
choose
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
can you it hear mocking me
me without you
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
I think its saying to me that
I miss you
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
we are jesters in the world's court
we are only but fools
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
what were we afraid of
we had nothing to lose
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
that day we met was the day
we seemed to fuse
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
the reason we let go was
we had each other to lose
do you
see the sky
with its whites and blues
that morning I did not wake
knowing I had lost you
do you
see the sky
with its blues and whites
if in another world we meet again
together we will set things right
thanks to my friend who helped finish this!
