Like an animal I'm goaded
Like a robot I'm programmed
To be stuck here just working for them
As if they didn't know that it's really better, out there
As if they were so preoccupied that they         Did not care
As if they were all one minded
Not seeing the light
Blinded by the cave
Never accepting of the new
As if they didn't already know
How much more important it is
As if they couldn't see past their own nose
Like they were the near-sighted ones
And I was blind
Seeing only what's presented
Only the fundamentals
As if I was still asleep
And they were just walking a dog
As if I couldn't move, under house arrest like Siddhartha
