As I sit here alone in silence
I am reminded of you
It's not complete silence, ya know
I hear the sound of a storm passing by
Closing my eyes, I see you in the distance
You're watching as a storm is rolling in
I never quite understood why you enjoyed this so much
The dark clouds becoming more and more visible
The wind starts to rattle the trees
Streaks of lighting flash across the night sky
And yet you are still watching with amazement in your eyes
I try to call out for you
But you do not hear me
The rumbling of thunder gets louder
I continue to watch you
Heavy drops of rain begin to fall from the sky
I see you smirk
My eye open fast, realizing it's just a faint memory
Once again I am alone in the silence
I hear the sound of rain tapping on my window
And I think of you
