“Onism” - n. the frustration of being stuck in just one body, that inhabits only one place at a time
There are just some moments where
You’re left wishing you could see through another set of eyes
And speak from a different mouth
A year is rendered a flying second
The many hours of a lifetime
Never really sufficient
When life dulls,
And you are
Someone
Else
Every
Small moment
Suddenly lengthened
So incredibly new again, shining
How is the blueness of the sky so abundant?
When just yesterday, the sun was imperceptible.
The heat has come over us, beautifully thick and boiling
Pulling at the edges of the day, yet again.
