CHOINNEÁIL
soft the cotton drifted
fragrant wood so old
the sun was on your back
a jewel of marigold
–
if you could keep it close
forever in your heart
would you love the hostage
would you drink the art
–
i can feel the seconds
hungry serpents at the door
would you keep it close
here in evermore
