I sat still looking at the void between my fingers
Love doesn't rain it's parade in this heart of mine
Blinded by carnal anticipation we love unconditionally
I memorized each feeling where your hand has ever been
Lips that planted sweet kisses
And shook this fortress I used to shield myself in
Each mark tells a story but your gaze,
an artist's canvas
Blank with no sign of emotion
Conversations reveal even less
A fond farewell to a stranger
I'll think deeper next time .
