In the dark
Beneath the shadows of my own heart
I'll hide behind myself.
Under the dark new moon
The princess waits within her tower
But, no one is coming.
The princess nothing more
Than an unruly, best forgotten
Maid.
The incomplete fairytale
Just waiting for its happy ending
An ending never coming.
Locked away in the tower; tall
She'll hide away, within the darkness of hopelessness
Residing in her heart.
No prince will ever be in sight
So blinded is she
With her own tears.
