Let your eyes open to me.
Let the furrows of your heart smooth when you see me.
Forget all the things that are ruined completely.
I do not wish
for you to hide
so finally.

Let me run my hands over your bruises
Let our souls become paired by the pace of our sighs.
I’m familiar to the sound your chest makes when it fuses.
But still l can see
when the soft light
pries.

If you will just let our faint ghosts meet
Then I will let your thin fingers touch mine
Don’t let your blood lose its beautiful beat,
But instead let’s lock eyes
and I’m sure
we’ll be fine.
