Oh, there is a limit
set  between man and beast.
A limit  I dare not pass.
Oh, for my soul is tempted
to throw  all  its humanity to the wind.
Oh,  for the heart
lives on the love of others.
Oh, without love
my heart shall soon swivel
and turn to  midnight black
and harden into a cold and dead stone
for its beating
will soon be heard no more.
Oh, you are my only source
for if  the love living
in your heart
were no more be
then my breath  would cease
and my hearts beating
would be heart no more
for it is the very life of my soul.
Oh,  all through the night
with the stars shining
as they journey across the sky
your name rests softly upon my lips
and all my dreams
entertain visions of you
that dance through the halls of my soul.
Oh, let your heart
and  let my heart
beat together forever  as one
far into all the countless days
that eternity may bring.
