Promise you will never forget me,

Promise a part of me will always be with you,

I only ask for a little corner in your head,

Only then will I let you go.

I will not ask for a part of you, I don’t ever want to keep you,

Because our love was built on selflessness,

All I am asking is don’t lose my memory, don’t lose the idea of us.

Years from now when you’re broken and alone,

I want you to conjure our memory

And I want that memory to make you smile

Like a teen kissing his first love.

But before I let you go,

Hold me, consume every part of me, and take me with you
Look for me in every person you meet,

And I will do the same.
