Can Things Ever be the Same?
Being here with you
Reminds me of times of old
A smile creeps across my face
I try to hide it, but can't
Can things ever be the same?
The things I've done
Left you scarred
I wish I could take them back
But past is past, and I have no time machine
Can things ever be the same?
I tried to make it work I really did
But things just got out of hand
I could say I'm sorry
But that wouldn't be enough
Can things ever be the same?
Maybe it was for the best
But I feel so bad
You say its alright, but I know its not
I know you too well
Can things ever be the same?
