You never think they'll hurt you

until you have no heart

I wish I didn't hate you.

I wish I stopped thinking about you

I wish I could stop listening to your favorite song

and hear your opinions and light voice

roughly waving over the rhythm and strum of a simple guitar

But I can't,

So I think about you

thinking about someone else

in the way you used to think about me

And suddenly my heart is missing.
