I'm walking on an unfamiliar street,
I feel the warmth and security coming off of the glimmering street lights.

I hear a faint noise to my right,
A soothing almost musical one,
It's jazz,
The beautiful freestyle taking me into a trance of happiness,
I look to my right and see an alleyway,
It's dark and suddenly I don't feel so safe anymore.

I know I'm never to judge a book by its cover but I...., I can't seem to bring myself to not just go and see where it takes me.
I walk away,
Never to see or know what was down that alleyway,
Never to risk what could've been the best thing in my life,
Only because of its looks.
