Same Old
I sit in a bar
drinking a cold beer,
my vision’s not clear,
I shouldn’t be here.
I turn to you, speak,
‘Our lives are unfair,
no one seems to care,
they so wouldn’t dare
try and help us eh?’
I am going mad,
I guess like my dad,
it is rather sad
how my life has gone.
Supping beer with you,
I don’t have a clue,
maybe I should do
something else tonight.
I’m gonna be sick,
don’t throw up you ****,
and not over ****,
he’ll **** you you know.
Look at me, a prat
with his beer and hat.
Ah well now. That’s that.
Written: March 2012.
Explanation: My syllabics poem for university, originally called 'Typical Evening'.
