Act

You walk around

Like you own this town.

With that rebellious look in your eye

and your cap turned to the side.

With a cigar on your lips and a bottle in your hand,

you want to be the man.

You once told me it was all an act.

I think you just wanted to see how I'd react.

But I knew all alone it wasn't true.

The person you show the world just isn't you.

What you've never figured out was that I didn't even like that him.

I saw what was within.

That's who I wanted.

That's why I'm haunted.

That's who I can't get over.
