When I saw a car like yours
my head didn't do a double take.
It was steady.

When our song came on the radio
my heart didn't skip a beat.
It was steady.

When someone mentioned your name
my body didn't shiver.
It was steady.

When I returned to the edge
my emotion didn't falter.
It was steady.

As I turned and walked away
your memory didn't knock me over.
It was steady.
