We stand on the graves of everyone we used to be
Each loss a very real reminder that we have grown but haven't forgotten

We mourn all the good we had that we did not know to love in the past
A loss that exclaims a reminder to marvel about the love that occupies us now

We combat the discomfort we feel with resent
A loss of feeling that teaches us to embrace with sense rather than irate denial

We damage ourselves with the sickness emitted from others
A loss having stripped our good sense, now a loss that encourages sustenance

We hide behind barriers of spurious security
Losing the potential to discover the wonderment we overpass with the walls we built

We forget the infinity of fascination that lives ubiquitously
A loss that will assure us there is reason

What we lose gives us power
