IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE
LONELY DAYS AND ENDLESS NIGHTS BECOME OUR LIFE'S REGIME,
THEN IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE
OUT OF LIFE'S TEMPESTUOUS SEAS.
A SIMPLE SMILE LIKE A BOLT OF LIGHT THAT SHAKES YOUR HEART AWAKE,
YOU STUMBLE IN YOUR MIND A WHILE MAKING SURE IT'S NO MISTAKE.
A FRIENDLY FACE HAS CAUGHT YOUR EYE, IT STIRS YOUR SLEEPING HEART,
THE THOUGHTS OF FRIENDSHIP AND MAYBE LOVE, AGAIN COULD PLAY A PART.
THE FEELINGS GROW AS YOU SPEND YOUR TIME WITH LAUGHTER AND ROMANCE,
YOUR SLEEPING HEART SO WIDE AWAKE AS THE BEAT BECOMES A DANCE.
YOU KNOW IT'S ONLY BEEN A WHILE AND THERE'S SO MUCH MORE TO KNOW,
YET YOU FEEL IT'S FATE THAT'S BROUGHT YOU THERE AS YOU FEEL THE EMOTION GROW.
THEN AS IF A WIND ON A WINTERS MORN DOES CHILL YOU TO THE BONE,
THE ONE YOU FOUND IS THERE NO MORE, HER VOICE IT HAS NO TONE.
YOU LONG TO HEAR HER ONCE AGAIN,
AS YOU WONDER WHAT DID YOU DO,
TO END THIS FEELING YOU BOTH DID SHARE THAT FILLED THE WHOLE OF YOU.
NOW ALL YOU HAVE ARE MEMORIES,
BUT YOU KNOW SHE SHARES THEM TOO,
AND MAYBE IF IT'S MEANT TO BE,Β Β THEY WILL BRING HER BACK TO YOU.
