Poems
Dec 2016
Lateralus
the meaning thereof
is etched inside a shell
buried in the sand
pounded by tumultous waves
turned by raging currents
the vast marine cradles
answers long gone
tides shift and turn
winds undulating the surface
arise what eternity brought
no flickering light
from the black above
could have foretold
the nauseous ride we took
now folly and turmoil breaks
as the ship dances
above the deep blue
lingering weeps of tired men
unwilling, unworthy
bludgeon the holy silence
tired screams of generations
echoes from underneath our skin
trapped in a revolving door
our souls, tired and weary
this last breath we take
dreams in the air we breathe
fill our chests with gold
an intoxicating haze
from infinity's tight hold
a spiral; relentless, unstoppable
