Dec 2016
of a solemn sound
that which pierces my ears
an apparition
so vague yet clear

veiled to eyes to all but me
nested it lied deep within
a speck of lint that breezes by
with it follows a certain scent

from a bird that takes flight
to the fish that swim
from a torrent of water
that which touches the brim

endless streams flow past my grail
spilling out into the abyss below
a shallow wake of living and death
to this my song of unwavering woe
