I need you,
To be there for me

Where have you been?
Why must you avoid it?
Do you not love me?
What did I do so wrong
To make you turn away?

You didn't walk,
You ran away,
Far, far away

You made me think,
You didn't love me

You were gone,
My whole life,
And now you're back

Yet you want nothing,
To do with me

Can you not see the little girl
Deep inside the young woman,
Crying out for her daddy

Craving for your acceptance,
Waiting for the day
To hear you say,
I love you,
And mean it.

You ran away,
Far, far away

You made me think,
You didn't love me

You were gone,
My whole life,
And now you're back

Yet you want nothing,
To do with me

Can you not see the little girl
Deep inside the young woman,
Crying out for her daddy
