Your crowning achievement
Will be a huge failure
Another blemish you refuse to accept
Don’t acknowledge as your own

Instead, it will fuel your own anger
Which is how you make decisions
You have a gut reaction that feels right
Don’t act like you thought this through

You say the words shouldn’t matter
Because they can’t matter to you
Words are articulations of thought and they
Don’t have any place in your world

But your world is shrinking
You feel the successes around you
And see the impotency of your abilities because you
Don’t have the words to create plans

Don’t have the words to describe your pain
Don’t have the words to understand others

Don’t have a future

That, you will have to acknowledge
