As the crowd
Watches the show being put on
I stand on stage in
My mask giving them
What they want

I hear them laugh and
Cheer but little
Do they know
This is a serious act

I wear my mask to
Hide myself
I know if I was
To remove this mask
They wouldn't like
What they see

It occured to me
That I can't remove this
Mask
It's become a part of me
This act isn't fake anymore

This show I put on is becoming
The real me
I can't reveal myself
Knowing they'd hate
What's under this
Mask

The Real Me.
Remove your mask, be you.
