Dream State
Time has taken my soul
tolling me in ways unknown
belligerence taking hold
I’m lost without
destined to falter
Salt.
Breeze.
Sand.
Shells.
Stars, glisten.
Moon, lights.
Shadows, move.
Gusts.
Light, blinks on horizon
drawing outlines of waves
in such wake, peering in
the ghost that walks beside me
closer than my own shadow
“Crunch, do we, crunch, know, crunch, who is, crunch, meant, crunch, to stand, crunch, beside, crunch, us, crunch?
Pacing along faintly lit ground
finding the darkness holds more than we want
piercing eyes watch from afar
preying on the sorrow I feel
