The River Is A Monster

The River is like a God, My Body in the Current like a Faithful Servant, It Tugs at My Limbs, Pulling Me Apart, My Body Does Not Fight, It just Drifts Along, A Hand Here, A Foot There, My Hair like a Curtain, But My Empty Blue Eyes Stare at the World, Vacant of Care, Peaking with Recklessness, Exposing all the DAMAGE it has Caused, Pleased, Content, But the River is not a God, It is a Monster, And it, Swallows Me Whole
