I wish you knew what you did to me every time we part.
I love when we’re together, just you and I as one;
When I’m the focus of your eyes, if not your heart.
But when others join us, invisible I become;
Nothing more than a member of your adoring audience.
Then, when you depart with hardly a word of farewell,
Desperation is all I am left with.
