I love you my dear
Can't you tell by the things I say?
The way I smile just seeing your face?
You're good for me and I love what you do
And how the best of you highlights the good in me too
Things can't always be sunshine
Sometimes things will feel like rain
But with you, there's an umbrella
And a place to escape the pain.

You're a God-sent blessing to me
With you I am full of ecstasy
Nothing compares to your smile
Or the kisses you give me so freely
You've got me wrapped around your finger
Funny how you think it's the other way around
In reality, I'm just amazed that you're here,
That you love me is enough to erase any frown.

I don't always say and do the best things
And I know I can be frustrating
I know you tire of my games
Demanding you give me what I want
But I worry when things aren't how I plan
Even when I drive you insane
Please remember that you mean the world to me

It scares me when you call me perfection
That's not what I see the mirror reflecting
But when you say you love me
Things that are scary go away
You take the worst parts of me
And you love me anyway.

We're both really young
With a lot we must learn
We will probably make a few stupid turns
But I'd rather hold on than say goodbye
You're the one who never makes me cry.
