What It Cannot See

I hope pain rattles you clean And silence burns your soul. May anger shake your bones And anxiety startle your breath, While guilt tears your gut And sorrow eats your mind. When obligation dissolves your desire And despair sinks into your core, Then you might know the depths of this torture. For your heart does not believe what it cannot see And it is blind to me
