You swallowed your throat

You’re a bust in your skin

When the last living man asked to come in

You looked out the door

You’ve seen him before

He was down on his luck

He needed a lift

But the newspapers crushed that ***** old list

Now he’ll never be home

And he’ll never come in

The last living man was so small and so thin

He asked for the time

But by then he went blind

And the noises were his last way out

Sank the bottle again

He though himself dead

When the mail in the box didn’t come in

He sat in his chair

And to look is to stare

Worse than that he’ll never be there

He can’t follow your eyes

But knows of your tongue

You know where he’s been

But you swallowed your throat

And burst out your skin

When the last living man asked to come in.
