The Fire Burns

Fuel
The darkness fuels
my muse's motor
she is set alight
in dark shadowed corners
Comes awake as sunlight fails
and the creatures come out
the ones that scurry
the ones that ****
My muse is a demon creature
gathering power from fear
as the last light
is flushed from the day
Thoughts mesmerize
and form on the page
starlight inspiration
muted on full moons
And at full power
during the eclipse
and overcast nights
dripping rain
