Why the songbird sings

by aaron-macario

Once upon a time I believe you were just like me lost in quiet isolation and yet simply free, Air beneath your wings as yould soar above the shimmering starlight reflecting off the sea, At what point did you dive down to fatefuly crash beneath the waves and riptides which held fast to your feet like roots to a tree, Quiet, listen now to the sound of the song bird as she sings in subtle undertones that reveal how she longs for your return, Hush now that simple tale of this doom and gloom that you speak for a flower that blooms in the spring must fail in the fall as summer and winter bring full circle the tale of us all, Must you heed her call and return once more to rise above this all for a star as we are is not meant to burn down and simmer a dull glow, Its meant to shine above all and bring light to where dark would like to fall, However still the choice is yours for destiny is will and strength is resolve you must decide for yourself to which side yould like home to be called.
