silence. stillness. turmoil of the mind.
you’re coaxed into security
(then insecurity, then confusion)
lips part, eyes blink—
the longest moment in history
(and you want nothing to do with him)
no broken bones but a twist and a tumble
and those glorified butterflies make their first entrance.
you curse the gods
and reject the destiny that lingers on his lips.
you blame gravity.
