Clipped Together
Held together through the night,
we loved and kissed and hugged tight.
Like pages in a report,
I read the words and did retort.
3 words say much to the heart,
when repeated new things start.
Slid together to confine,
helped along by red wine.
Intertwined and almost spooned,
in your ear, love songs I crooned.
Then the sheets start slipping down
and ended up on the ground.
We chased the leaves in the wind,
caught them and then made amends.
Back together where they belong,
held together like steel we're strong.
Based on a Paperclip
