walking, walking
never ending road
no cars or cities in sight
oppressive heat and sunlight

out of water
shoes melted
we hold hands
and keep each other going

as long as possible
hopefully we can find a drinker
or make it to the cooler of night
or we shall be another pile of bones in life's desert
