I'm so
tired of the rain
because it reminds me
of you
the way you would
never cry
and the day I left
I got your message
and you said
that your eyes
opened like the skies above
the Maryland bay
where my body now rests.
I'm so
tired of the rain
on the ground
enough to get my feet wet
but not
enough to let me drown.
