Oh, my soul
is but a spark from the heart of God.
For I can feel
the same love that the great creator
must feel for all his creation
when I look into your eyes
and feel all the love
that my heart has for you.
Oh, just as the great loving father
lives in my love for you
I know that all the reason
for my being
is to love you.
Oh, how my love for you
leads my to such desperation
that I can think no other thought
than that of you.
And I feel that my love
shall soon end
if I know you do not
hold me in your heart.
Oh, the pain!
Oh, the awful pain
I know that would be!
Oh, how you live deep within my heart
and I know you can
take me to heaven or hell
with but a single word.
Oh, your lovely face and form
surpasses all the beauties
of heaven.
For the brightest
and more beautiful stars
in the heavens
can never surpass
you in loveliness.
Oh, you have blessed me
or cursed me
a thousand times over
by making me fall in love with you.
Oh if you pity me
with you sweet love
I shall surly be blessed.
Oh, and if you
removed your love far from me
cursed I shall ever be.
For an eternal love
ever lives in my heart
and had become
the very fabric
of my body
and of my blood
and has forever become one
with my soul.
Oh, my love for you
is like a rose
that grows within my soul
that can comfort me
with its sweet fragrance
or with its thorns
sharper than a serpents tooth
cut and tear
my heart
till rivers of blood
flow from my dying soul.
Oh, with your love
I can safely sleep
within your arms
in all my comfort and rest.
Oh, how I can then sleep
the sleep of the dead
and dream such sweet dreams of your love.
Oh, I shall forever dream
those sweet dreams of love
that so comfort my soul
for as long as eternity
shall ever be.
