Tattooed arms and
A soulless grin;
My cherry hued lips
Dying to taste your skin
Like a druggie addicted
To toxins but
This drug was never illegal,
Never protested or
Warned against.
This drug was part
Sparkling eyes
And empty promises
Laced with lust, distrust,
And yearning
To turn the street drug
Into a medicine
A medicine to fill in the gaps
Your addiction left behind.
