Roots growing, confiding
    Men formed from the dust
Atop ATLAS, residing
    Back broken and crushed

    Beneath our steps, waiting
Unmoving throughout time
    Plates sometimes colliding
Within GAIA’S design

Holding graves of deceased
    Residence for men passed
Their life force is released
    Peaceful souls are amassed

    Softened by the sea
Immune to the flame
    Underneath our feet
The earth will remain
