Loneliness isnt fear of being alone
But an anchor, weighing down who we ought to be
Seeing yourself being selfish and losing yourself to random whimsy
Blinded as you are, you see not the damage you have caused
Where your other half, is awake, alone while you sleep
Where you were supposed to be their rock, you made them alone
The loss of your burden, is shifted to her
She cries and you don't see
For she feels that her tears aren't worth anything to you
And you oblivious are just happy that your burden is lifted
Look in the mirror and see if you recognise yourself
You realise, you held back, and shut out of her kingdom
The walls so gracefully pulled down for you
Now you're on the outside, trying to look in
And you see yourself looking back at you
Tell me know, do you feel unbowed
Or can you see another chain and slowly you're dragging your feet
