Speak up, speak out
They say
This is your chance.
But, I have no voice.
Mind full of thoughts
But no voice
In which to share them.
Around me
People are shouting
Screaming and banging their fists
But I am unable to share
a word or whisper
That will be heard.
Around me, the world is
changing
Evolving, growing and shrinking
My mind is filled with dreams and possibilities
But even in a land of free speech,
And empowerment
I have no voice.
So I keep quiet
As my mind screams
And nothing is done.
