Each night I dream of a dancing muse
Moving to the music only we could hear
Tone by tone like drops of rain
Falling gently on her hair

As I close my eyes she makes me see
Blurry pictures of an unknown world
Though it feels like home I am never there
Like drifter lost along the dusty road

When the morning breaks she fades away
As the ink of a long lost letter
But as the moon shows up on the starry sky
We dance again, my muse and I
